Este seminario será impartido por la Dra. Annalisa Serio, y llevará por título «Functional dairy products: prebiotics and functional peptides«.

El seminario será el jueves día 10 de noviembre de 2016, a las 10:30 h en el Aula de Grados del edificio Oriol.

Aquí os mostramos un breve curriculum vitae de la Dra. Serio para que podáis apreciar claramente la calidad del ponente.

Short Curriculum Vitae Annalisa Serio 

 Annalisa Serio is confirmed researcher in Food Microbiology (AGR/16) at the Faculty of Biosciences and Technology for Food, Agriculture and Environment, University of Teramo. After the degree in Food Science and Technology (110/110 cum laude) at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bologna in 1999, in 2005 she achieved the Ph.D. in Food Biotechnology at the University of Bologna.

In 2005-2006 she holded the chair of «Food Microbiology» at the University of L’Aquila. Since 2007 she holds the chair of «Microbiology of foods of animal origin«, since 2013 she holds the chair of «General Microbiology» at the University of Teramo, and she teaches in Masters on Food Production. She has been examiner and co-examiner of many thesis and degree and master dissertation (at the Universities of Teramo and L’Aquila).

She has been working in Research Programs involving Italian and international universities and food industries. She carries out her researches on microorganism and foods, particularly on dairy and fishery products, with studies on microbial ecology. Her research also deals with biodiversity and physiological and technological characterization of microorganisms, particularly on Listeria monocytogenes and enterococci.

At the moment, the main topic of her research activity is the application of biopreservationtreatments by means of essential oils and plant extracts, particularly on pathogens and spoiling microorganism, both in vitro and in foods.

She is author and co-author of 43 articles published in national and international journals, one book, three book chapters, one internet page on invitation and of 59 publications on proceedings of national and international congresses.
